(This was written several years ago. I never used it, as the situation cleared itself up… as they usually do. Think twice before taking matters into your own hands.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PURPOSE:
To help people go their separate ways.
ITEMS:
- A red candle
- dragon’s blood incense
- a black piece of cloth
- silver thread
- an unused needle
- mandrake or Valerian root, chamomile, peppermint, and roses
- a length of pink cord
- paper, ink, and pen
- Five of Pentacles, Two of Cups (reversed)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Prepare your circle as you normally would. Light the candle and incense. Mediate on your purpose until you feel ready.
- Start making the sachet. Take the cloth and cut it to size, if you haven’t already. A 3×3 square should be more than enough, depending on how much herb you intend to use. Embroider into it the symbol of Saturn, the judge.
- Place the Five of Pentacles crossed by the Two of Cups (reversed) in easy view. If you have the names, write them on a sheet of paper, writing the name of the two cards between the names of the lovers. If you can, keep this whole. If secrecy is an issue (IE: the pouch being found and ripped open), burn the paper to ashes. Gather the material (either paper or ashes) and place it in the satchel. Keep your purpose in mind. Feel the two being separated. Just two people deciding that they do not want to be together. No malice.
- Focus on the feelings that the different herbs emit as you prepare the cord. Tell a story with the emotions. Roses (love, happiness), peppermint (severity, stings), Mandrake (the separation), Valerian Root (lethargy, acceptance), chamomile (calming, soothing). As you feel each of these emotions pass, knot the cord and concentrate on the cards. This may be helped by speaking your intent aloud. There should be five knots, all told, about an inch apart.
- Place the herbs in the bag in the proper order. Then, the cord.
- Sew the bag shut.
- Place the bag in either the place where they sleep or in a place where they often are intimate.
