It is!

I generally include these within my daily rituals, so it is difficult to remember to put such basic things, such as starting or closing the ritual in the blog. Everyone does these in their own special way.

I also have a habit of keeping banishment sigils (created based on what I'm working with) for easy and quick use... in case something goes extremely south extremely quickly.

A proper banishment is a good idea also in most cases. I think of it as "cutting the taffy" from the spoon so that the energy retains its structure. This is critical if your sigil is used in such a way that it passes out of your immediate possession or control (such as in a talisman).
